[The original Wilder website.]

Finally! I have webspace again!

Mostly, this will be the place where I can put my latest pictures for family and friends to see. You may notice a lack of text for a while, it is because of my new keyboard.

I've just started using the Twiddler 2, a really cool one handed keyboard with an IBM trackpoint built in, and I'm still figuring it out. I think it might take a while before I'm back up to 80+ WPM, I seem to be stuck around 7 WPM!

(For those of you who don't know, I broke my right wrist December 2000 and there's been complications. I can't type on a regular keyboard or use a mouse, or many other things! without pain, as a result.)

All these pictures were taken by me, with Shawn's Canon digital camera.

The Three Most Important People In My Life

There are a few other really important people too, but these are the top three and the ones I interact with daily.

Buddy being the *cutest* beside my front garden

If ever you're looking for Buddy, no need to look any farther than 2.5 inches behind me... he's ALWAYS there! He follows me everywhere, in the car, to the beach, to Gramma's house, into bed... if Shawn is lucky, Buddy lets him into bed too! We've only had Buddy since February 2001, but he has since bonded very tightly, especially with me. As he is a German Shepherd (he IS crossed with something, but its unknown... his *brain* is total Shepherd) he can be fiercely protective of his family.

These are the planter boxes Shawn and Jessica gave me for Mother's Day, I planted them right away, of course! This was taken late May.

This year, I have been able to plant flowers and gardens and such. It's worked out really well. Things *grew*! The house looks nice with all sorts of green stuff around, and it gives me something to do when I have the urge to play in the dirt!

I thought my planter boxes looked nice right after planting, but they have sure matured into something *amazing*... hard to believe they are the same boxes as above. This was taken late August.

My nephews, Jamie (right) and Justin (left)... not a particularly good picture of either, but the *ONLY* picture of Justin from Lion Safari without his tongue hanging out, or his eyes crossed! Typical 7 year old boy!

Jamie on the bus, being cute... I took so many pictures of him that by the end of the day, he was trying to hide from the camera!

Yes, we're goofy, etc, but we were having fun... not a bad pic, considering I took it at arm's length!

Shawn and I went to African Lion Safari, mostly to prove there really *are* giraffes within 45 minutes of our house. My mom, Jessica, my sister, her 3 kids and I went subsequently. On each trip I took about 200 pictures, but I'm only posting some of the nicer ones here. While at Lion Safari, both times, I rode an elephant, however, I didn't get good digital pictures either time.

Shawn's newest hobby... building furniture for our house. This is the king size bed frame he designed and built. It's exceptionally *sturdy*, I fear the day we move from this house and have to move that frame! Until then, it's the best!

He's also built a bunch of shelves for the garage, dining room, Jessica's room, kitchen, as well as bedside tables to match the bed frame. The new king size mattress fits beautifully in the frame, and Shawn and I fit beautifully in the bed. Finally, we both have enough space... even when Buddy gets in! (posted September 20/2001)
