Chris and I are both from southern Manitoba.
Chris has been a good friend of mine for years now. We are both from Steinbach, Manitoba, and went to the same high school, and actually met there, but we didn't really hit it off.
It's only since we both moved to Waterloo, Ontario, that we became close friends. We've become even closer in the last few months (late 2000).
