So we successfully went to Midland...

...and we got back!

Lisa had rearranged the van so I could sit in the back with my foot up, iced (wonderful woman), and this is how I went.  Other than the social isolation of not being able to talk to the other passengers (way up at the front -- I brought a book), it was a wonderful way to travel.

Edwards didn't seem to think my foot was that serious (just a sprain, as we suspected), and also doesn't believe there was any kind of break.  He popped it a few times, especially in the muscle on the side of my leg, and it feels much better.  I'm telling you, the guy's brilliant.  (plus very funny -- it's almost like medicine-and-a-show!).

We ate at Dino's, a nice little sandwitch/salad/soup place up there, and we came home again.  Jessica finished a bunch of Christmas crochet work she's working on, and I finished my book (which I'm borrowing from Jayne, so now I can return it -- I'm a very slow reader).

Cleaned my desk off last night, threw out a bunch of useless papers and things -- that felt good.  Now I've just got my bedside table and filing cabinet to go through.  You get antsy to do stuff when you're cooped up like this, so it's nice to have fairly sedentary chores you can do to improve your life.

And tomorrow: the Royal!  W00t!!11!!eleventy-one!
