In the laundry room, we filled holes (normal ones, plus some badly-ripped down wall with a horrible pit of spider-webs, dirt, and grime was closed up with wood, caulking, and polyfilla). We ripped out a bunch of gross particle-board, warped and gross, shelves built by trolls. We then painted the entire room white (ceiling, walls, floor), hooked up the washer/dryer, and proceeded through my ineptitude to have a little flood from a poorly connected drain pipe. Alas. But all fixed now, and the room is wonderful.
